What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

   Our film is a film aimed at interesting the masses, so our media product would have to be distributed by a mainstream company. This means that we would want our distribution company to be one that is owned by a member of the big six. This is due to the fact that those companies have a much larger supply of money. It also means these companies can distribute to a global crowds - international distribution - allowing us to gain a bigger fan base. These companies also allow us to gain access to better advertisement, such as having our film on LoveFilm or Netflix and also causing our film to have much better both above and below the line filming, a good example of below the line advertising would be having a slot on a chat show  . An example of a company that would be a good distributer of our film would be Universal Studios. who were the company that helped produce and distribute the Bourne Series.

 Another example of a good distribution company we could use would be a company such a Paramount, who distributed action films such as Transformers and G.I. Joe.  We would use companies like this, as opposed to an independent company, is to get the name of the film out ther and in people's minds through advertisement better.
