An explanation of how you found the filming and the difficulties you faced.
I think our entire group enjoyed the filming of this short film as we are all friends and therefore had no problems working together and coming up with ideas. The only difficulties we saw during the entire creation is the fact that we filmed what we thought would be enough, however when we began to edit the film we realised that the shots were not very continuous and the film seemed a bit jumpy, we therefore had to go back and re-film shots and add new shots in. This opened up the problem of wearing the same clothes and making sure the weather seemed the same etc.
How did you find using the equipment – what was difficult/easy?
I personally found the equipment reasonably easy to use as the cameras where rather simple and generic cameras that are not too similar to the cameras that everyone has used before. However the editing equipment was slightly more challenging as although I had used editing equipment before, I had never used the editing on a Mac (iMovie), however this was reasonably easy to pick up and we found it fairly easy to use after getting the hang of it
What problems/issues did you face when filming?
As I have said above, we came across the problem of, to start, not filming enough as we thought we had got enough to make a good film, however after editing we realised we needed more shots. This meant that we then had to get around the problem of the main characters wearing the same clothes.
Did you change anything whilst you were filming? If so, what and why?
As a group, we decided to change the script as we felt the newer one we came up with was better and relevant to use. The older script wasn't necessarily bad however as a group we sat down and decided the newer one would be better to use overall.
Did you have to re-film anything? If so, what and why?
We did have to change some filming as we started filming on the old script, however we didn't have to change much as the conversation isn't that long and only took up a few shots. However we did have to re-film the next day some new shots to allow the film to look continuous (mainly in the build up in the beginning 30 seconds).
Did you feel your group fully prepared yourself for filming? How did you do?
I think our group did prepare well as we sorted everything before the film started, for example the script (even though we changed it) and the shots we were going to use, as well as the charactes that were going to be in the film and where the film was going to be set. This meants that we had no problem when we shot our film, even when we decided we wanted to change something we could do it without too much hassle.
How did your group work together when filming?
As I have said above, I think our group did work well together as we were all friends before we started working together, so we knew eachother quite well and weren't afraid to get our ideas across or tell achother what we were thinking. Similarly, we didnt mess around either because we knew eachother quite well and therefore all new we needed to get our work done - we als had fu whilst doing it.
What did you enjoy most when filming?
I enjoyed both the filming and the editting part of creating the film as it was a brand new experience for us as we had never been completely incharge of something like this before. Also the group as a whole as working together was easy and quite fun, we all thought the same way and we think our final film came out quite well.
