Description of Our Preliminary Task
Whilst having a shot-reverse-shot, a match-on action and including the use of the 180 degree rule, we also wanted to build tension throughout the beginning of the piece that will eventually allow the ending to be more dramatic / funny. We built this tension by having the main character where a hood and having the beginning minute of the film of near-silence while we watched him walk to his eventual destination. Similarly, we managed to fit in the three sots we needed through these beginning of the film; the Shot-reverse-shot can be seen in the short conversation between the two characters near then end, the match-on action can be seen as the protagonist walks through the main doorway to go to the main room and the 190 degree rule is used throughout the entire piece - however most notably throughout the conversation with the two main characters.
